JOHN DAVID HUTCHINSON is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.A. in Government. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law, in Bloomington, Indiana, in June, 1973. During summer breaks in law school, he worked as a legal intern with legal aid societies in New York City and New Hampshire. Upon graduation he worked for three years as a staff attorney with the Legal Services Organization of Indianapolis, Indiana. He joined the firm of Biringer, DeVito and Jacox, P.C., now Biringer, Hutchinson, Lillis, Bappert, & Angell, P.C. in June, 1976.
John practices primarily in the areas of business law, estate planning and administration, real estate, civil litigation and municipal law. He has primary responsibility for representation of the City of Coldwater. He is admitted to practice in the Western and Eastern Districts of the United States District Court, and has successfully argued cases in the Michigan Court of Appeals.
He is a member of the board of Century Bank and Trust, Adapt, Inc., the Legal Services Organization of South Central Michigan, and a founding member of the Branch County Community Foundation.
John and his wife, Maureen, have been residents of Coldwater since 1976, and are the parents of three adult children.
