CHARLES J. LILLIS graduated from Michigan State University, with honors in History in 1976. He earned a Master's degree in Education from Ball State University in 1977. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law, at Bloomington, in 1985. Chuck worked as a University Administrator at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Indiana University, in Bloomington, before moving to Coldwater in 1986. He joined Biringer, Hutchinson & Van Doren, P.C., now Biringer, Hutchinson, Lillis, Bappert & Angell, P.C., in June, 1986.
Chuck practices primarily in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, corporations and business law, municipal law and construction law. Chuck serves as general counsel for the Village of Quincy and a number of Townships. He is a past President of the Branch County Bar Association, and was elected delegate to the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly, from 1990 to 1996.
Chuck is a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church, and a lay leader and certified lay speaker. He is a member and past President of the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club. Chuck has been active in the Coldwater Community Theater as an actor and director, and with the Coldwater High School Theater Department, having directed high school productions.
Chuck and his wife, Jayne, live in Coldwater, and have two daughters, Bethany, and Jessie.
